A spoonie is someone who has a finite amount of mental and physical energy to get through the day. Naturally, when things don't run to plan or it is a low spoons day, spoon theory says that choices need to be made about what gets left undone.
Over time, these things mount up. The result: each day it takes even more spoons for basic self-care - including nourishing food and resetting your living environment.
Let's reclaim "snowflake". The idea that we should all navigate the world in the same way is fundamentally flawed. Our homes and our nutritional needs are particular to us. Co-occurring conditions and personal preferences mean that each of us needs support that is considerate, individual and sustainable.
Your booking starts with a discussion to understand your style and your needs. Here are some of the resources that underpin the Spoonies & Snowflakes approach.
Trauma informed practice in my services is fundamental, no matter what. In my work, I apply the principles of Safety, Trust and Transparency, Peer Support, Collaboration, Empowerment, Choice and Embracing Diversity.

Fundamental to my work are the non-diet approach and size inclusive health, also known as HAES.

Elimination food protocols or dietary changes are common recommendations for spoonies. Realistic, compassionate, individualised support is often what's needed — and it's not always available through medical systems. Going it alone can re-trigger or cause a disordered relationship with food. That's where support helps — whether that's outsourcing the cooking entirely, or getting hands-on help mastering recipes you actually enjoy.
Hi, I'm Trey (she/her). I offer custom catering, meal prep, recipe development, housekeeping and home organising — for people and families running low on time, energy or executive function.
Every plan starts with your life as it actually is, not what it's supposed to look like. Trauma-informed. Fully individualised. No explaining yourself, no judgement, no performance for the person showing up to help.
Specialising in helping clients who are neurodiverse and/or with chronic illnesses, most of my clients find me through word of mouth — people who needed something that actually worked with how their brain and household run, not against it.
